Preheat oven to 325°F for a dark-coated pan or 350°F for a metal/glass pan. Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper and prepare brownie batter per package directions. Bake for 45 minutes.

Make the frosting 10 minutes before brownies are done. In a saucepan, combine eggnog, sugar, butter, and salt. Stir and bring to a boil; cook for 35 seconds.
