It’s time to start thinking about game day which means tailgating, finger foods, appetizers, parties, and touchdowns, and who doesn’t love pizza?  These crescent roll pizza rolls are simple, quick, and will get the party going.  The perfect finger food for all your tailgating needs.  Serve them along side some dipping sauces and let the feasting begin. 

Wether you are a sports enthusiast or not, having an arsenal of yummy appetizers is always good for whatever the occasion or if your kids bring all their friends over unexpectedly its good to know you have quick and delicious finger foods for them to munch on.  I know growing up I would always bring friends over to my house after football games to hangout and food was always on the agenda.

Making these quick and easy pizza rolls from crescent rolls is a sure fire win-win among kids and adults. Who says no to warm melted cheese and pepperoni rolled inside a soft crescent roll dipped in sauce?  Not anyone I know.

How do you make easy pizza rolls?

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a rimmed baking sheet lightly with nonstick cooking spray or line with a silpat.
  2. Unroll container of Pillsbury crescent rolls and cut out the triangles.
  3. Layer each roll with pizza sauce, pepperoni slices, and a half of a mozzarella cheese stick.  Roll up from the wide end to the narrow end and place seam side down on baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes.  Remove and brush with melted butter and garnish with red pepper flakes.  Serve with dipping sauces.

Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz containers of Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 8 mozzarella sticks cut in half
  • 1 6 oz package of sliced pepperoni
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce
  • 4 Tbsp melted butter
  • ½ tsp minced garlic
  • red pepper flakes
  • Marinara sauce and ranch dressing for dipping optional

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a rimmed baking sheet lightly with nonstick cooking spray or line with a silpat.
