- Cook cheese tortellini according to package directions and set aside. In a large sauce pan cook sausage and onions until sausage is no longer pink.

When you are ready to eat the soup, simply unthaw the container or ziplock bag in the refrigerator. Place the soup in a saucepan over medium high heat and let simmer. Cook refrigerated tortellini according to package directions and add to soup, stirring to combine.
