Throw ground beef into a skillet and you know something amazing is going to happen, but adding all the elements of a juicy cheeseburger combined with pasta to make a skillet meal your whole family will love in less than 30 minutes, makes this cheeseburger macaroni magical.  Even the smell of this cooking on the stovetop gives off the aroma of a cheeseburger, which will have your family showing up for dinner on time.

Classic macaroni and cheese was a staple growing up in my family.  We had so many things going on between school and sports my mom would drive around all night dropping us off and picking us up, so when we got home naturally our first questions was “what’s for dinner?”  This homemade cheeseburger macaroni is the perfect option for all of you running on fumes and on little time.

How do you make cheeseburger macaroni?

  1.   2. Add in uncooked macaroni, milk, broth, ketchup, steak seasoning, ground mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese. Step 2 in making cheeseburger macaroni. Homemade cheeseburger macaroni is a fast fix recipe that will allow you to spend more time with your family and less time in the kitchen.  Crock pot mac and cheese is another great alternative if you are needing a meal hot and ready to eat when you come home from your busy day.

What goes good with cheeseburger macaroni?

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni uncooked
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 3 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tsp steak seasoning
  • 2 tsp ground mustard
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese divided
  • green onions diced for garnish (optional)
