Ingredients for Balsamic Chicken and Mushrooms

  • 4 thin sliced boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp chicken seasoning
  • 4 tbsp butter, divided
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 8 oz baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 slices pepper jack cheese, halved
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

How to Make Cheesy Balsamic Chicken and Mushroom Skillet

  1. Season the chicken on both sides with garlic salt and chicken seasoning.
  2. Sear the chicken: In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add chicken and cook 5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and cover to keep warm.
  3. Sauté the veggies: Melt remaining butter in the same skillet. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, mushrooms, and onions. Sauté 3 minutes.
  4. Make the sauce: Add balsamic vinegar and Worcestershire. Stir and simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Melt the cheese: Return chicken to the skillet, top each piece with 1/2 slice pepper jack, and cook on low until melted.
  6. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and enjoy warm.

      You can buy Johnny’s chicken seasoning, it actually says “chicken seasoning” on the container.
