Potato Chip Cookies

Potato chip cookies make the perfect family night treat.  The perfect blend of salty and sweet, you can’t go wrong with a cookie made with crunchy potato chips in every bite.

What are potato chip cookies?

These cookies are a delicious combination of sweet and salty.  Basic cookie ingredients mixed together with an addition of actual crushed potato chips hidden inside.

  • butter
  • sugar
  • flour
  • vanilla
  • crushed potato chips
  • glazed pecans, finely chopped

 

How to make potato chip cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Cream butter and sugar in a stand mixer or using a hand mixer.  Slowly blend in the flour, pecans, and vanilla.
  3. Gently mix in the crushed potato chips.
  4. Using a spoon or a cookie scoop, drop onto an un-greased cookie sheet.  Dip the bottom of a class in melted butter and then sugar and flatten cookies lightly.  Bake for 18 minutes, then remove from oven and dust with powdered sugar. How to make cookies, step by step by The Food Cafe.

You can use whatever brand you would like, they can be Lays, Ruffles, Kettle brand, Pringles etc, just make sure to use the original flavor.

Yes.  You can seal them in an airtight container or zip-lock bag and freeze them for up to 2 months.

  • 1 cup sugar + ½ cup for topping
  • 3-1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup glazed pecans finely chopped
  • 1-1/2 cups crushed potato chip
