Chocolate Dipped Cookies
When I think of anything dipped in chocolate, I think of pure decadence.
These chocolate dipped cookies are double the fun — filled with rich chocolate chips, dunked in silky white and dark chocolate, and finished with a beautiful drizzle on top.
Whether you’re making them for the holidays, a bake sale, or a sweet night in, these cookies are as easy as they are delicious.
And here’s the best part… they start with pre-made cookie dough (shhh, no one has to know!).

What’s the Best Chocolate for Dipping?
You’ve got a few delicious options:
-
Chocolate Chips: Melt them with ½ teaspoon of shortening for a smooth consistency.
-
Chocolate Bark or Candy Coating: My go-to for dipping! It melts evenly and hardens beautifully.
-
White Chocolate Melting Wafers: Perfect for contrast and pretty drizzle designs.
How do you dip cookies in melted chocolate?
- Preheat oven to 35o degrees and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Using your favorite pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough, break each cookie where scored and roll into a ball. Bake cookies for 14 minutes, until golden brown. Place cookies in freezer for 10 minutes so cookies can cool before dipping into melted chocolate.

- Using dark and white chocolate candy coating, melt in the microwave in one minute increments stirring until melted and smooth. Remove cookies from freezer and dip or drag half of the cookie into the melted chocolate and place on a piece of parchment paper to allow the chocolate harden.

- Once all the cookies have been dipped take remaining chocolate and place in a piping bag or ziplock bag and cut a small piece of the corner off and drizzle melted chocolate over the top. Let chocolate harden about 5 minutes and serve.

Can You Freeze Chocolate Dipped Cookies?
Absolutely!
Layer them in a container with parchment paper between each layer and freeze for up to 3 months.
They’re perfect to make ahead for holidays or gifting!
