You don’t have to fry your chicken to make it crispy and this Crispy Baked Ranch Chicken is proof of that. As you bite into it you will get that amazing crusty crunch on the outside, yet the chicken will be tender and juicy on the inside. I love to make sheet pan meals, and this is definitely a family favorite. You can use chicken thighs, drumsticks, or chicken breast whatever your family enjoys. This Crispy Baked Ranch Chicken doesn’t involve a lot of dipping and dunking. All you need is two bowls and a sheet pan and your meal is well on its way.

- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and spray a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
- Using two bowls, place egg whites in one bowl and whisk, in a separate bowl add your seasonings.
- Dry your chicken pieces off and dip into egg wash and then into bowl with seasoning, coating all surfaces.
- Place on prepared baking sheet and cook for 35 minutes and juices run clear.
How do you make extra crispy chicken?
If you want to make your chicken extra crispy simply dunk the chicken pieces in the egg wash and then in the seasoning and repeat a second time. This will make the chicken extra crispy.
Is baked fried chicken healthy?
Baked fried chicken is a healthier option than traditional fried chicken. Using an egg wash to coat the chicken also helps this baked chicken be a lighter and healthier substitute to fried chicken without compromising on texture and flavor.
How do you make Crispy Baked Ranch Chicken?
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees and spray a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
- Using two shallow bowls, whisk together egg whites and set aside. In the second bowl mix ranch seasoning pack, crushed rice cereal, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, seasoning salt, and grated parmesan cheese.
- Dry chicken pieces off with a paper towel and working with one piece of chicken at a time, dip in the egg wash and then into the ranch mixture. Making sure to coat all side. Place on prepared baking sheet and repeat until all chicken has been coated.
- Bake for 35 minutes. While chicken is still hot, in a small bowl mix 1 tbsp ranch seasoning mix and 1 tbsp of melted butter. Baste over hot chicken and serve.

Ingredients:
- 4 chicken thighs, skin on
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 2 packages ranch dressing seasoning mix, divided
- 2 cups rice cereal crushed
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp seasoning salt
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 3 egg whites
- 2 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp ranch seasoning
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees and spray a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
- Using two shallow bowls, whisk together egg whites and set aside. In the second bowl mix 1 ranch seasoning pack, crushed rice cereal, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, seasoning salt, and grated parmesan cheese.
