Easy Candy Bar Fudge

Do you every crave a decadent chocolate dessert, a candy bar, and something gooey and delicious?  Well this easy homemade fudge recipe made with kid approved Twix candy bars and creamy caramels is calling your name.  This no bake fudge is perfect to make all year long and can be made with any type of candy bar, but I love the caramel and crips cookie texture of a Twix mixed with creamy caramel candies all wrapped in chocolate fudge. 

Just imagine for a moment a soft, creamy piece of chocolate fudge mingled with caramel and butter cookie bite after bite.  Ok stop imagining and start doing, this simple fudge recipe is not going to make itself and trust me you will love how quick this decadent homemade fudge comes together.  This is one fudge recipe that is quick and all you need is an 8×8 baking pan and a saucepan.

What is fudge made of?

  • Candy bar fudge is made with 4 simple ingredients and takes little effort to make.
  • You combine your favorite candy bar, chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and caramels, that’s it, and you have an amazing batch of candy bar fudge.

How to make easy fudge?

  • Begin by placing parchment paper in an 8X8 baking pan, leaving enough to hang over the sides.

Using your favorite candy bar, (I used Twix), and caramels,  slice into small pieces.

Place 3/4 cup into prepared 8×8 pan on top of parchment paper.

In a medium sized saucepan melt chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk over low heat, stirring constantly.  Add remaining chopped Twix candy pieces and caramels.  Mix and pour into pan over the Twix pieces.

Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour and cut into squares and enjoy.

How long is fudge good for?

If you store this candy bar fudge in and airtight container and leave out at room temperature it can last up to two weeks.  If you store it in the refrigerator it can last up to three weeks.

Can you freeze fudge?

  • Yes.  Fudge can be frozen and last up to several months in your freezer.  Simply wrap the fudge up in plastic wrap and store in an airtight container in your freezer.
  • When you are ready to serve the fudge you can remove the number of pieces you want and let sit at room temperature for a couple hours.
  • I recommend cutting your candy bar fudge into squares before freezing making it easier to thaw out and serve.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped Twix candy bar or favorite candy bar
  • 2-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup caramels sliced in half
  • 8 x8 baking pan
  • Large piece of parchment paper

Instructions

Line an 8X8 pan with parchment paper, making sure to have enough to hang over the sides, set aside.

    Place ¾ cup chopped candy bar into prepare pan. In a large saucepan over low heat combine chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk and melt, stirring constantly.

      Pour in remaining candy bar pieces and caramels and mix to combine. Pour into prepared pan and let chill for 1 hour. Slice into squares and enjoy.
