The Sweetest Indoor Treat

There’s something magical about s’mores. Maybe it’s the nostalgia of campfires and late summer nights, or maybe it’s that irresistible trio of chocolate, marshmallow, and graham crackers. Either way, these Indoor S’mores let you capture that same melty, messy deliciousness without stepping outside.

Growing up near the coast, s’mores were my favorite summer indulgence. Now, living where it’s way too hot to roast marshmallows outside, these oven-baked beauties bring all the joy of those gooey memories—no campfire required.

Just imagine this: two golden graham crackers sandwiching a warm brownie, topped with a toasted marshmallow and a drizzle of hot fudge. It’s everything you love about classic s’mores, only richer, fudgier, and absolutely unforgettable.

Remove from the oven and top with another graham cracker, pushing down gently to smash the marshmallows and then top with chocolate sauce or hot fudge. Three images on a white background showing a sheet pan lined with white parchment paper stacked with indoor s'mores that have been roasted and being topped with an additional graham cracker and hot fudge being drizzled on top, by The Food Cafe.

How to Roast Marshmallows Indoors

Roasting marshmallows inside couldn’t be easier. Line a baking sheet with graham crackers, add marshmallows on top, and broil on high for about 2 minutes until golden brown. The key? Keep your eyes on them—the sweet spot between “perfectly toasted” and “oops, on fire” comes quick!

Are Graham Crackers Gluten-Free?

Traditionally, graham crackers are made with wheat flour, but don’t worry—there are some delicious gluten-free versions out there, including:

  • Pamela’s

  • Nairn’s

  • Kinnikinnick

Or make your own for an entirely homemade treat!

What Are Marshmallows Made Of?

Marshmallows are sweet, soft confections made from gelatin, sugar, and water, whipped together until light and fluffy. Once toasted, they transform into that gooey magic that makes s’mores so irresistible.
