Anna’s Mental and Physical Body Transformation

When life happens and bumps in the road take us for a loop, we can still find a way to overcome and have the mind and body transformation to unlock our true worth.

Many times in our lives we have up and downs, transitions if you will, we don’t see coming.  Maybe you have been in an abusive relationship that has ruined your self esteem.

Perhaps you went to work one day, where you have been a loyal employee for years and you were told you are going to be let go.

Have you found yourself at the doctor’s office for a routine check up thinking you were doing all things healthy and found out you have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, liver disease, or heart disease etc?

Or maybe you lost someone near and dear to you which caused you to become depressed, sad, and lost.

Are struggling with an addiction that is affecting your home and family life?

Did you work hard for something just to find out it wasn’t what you had hoped it would be?

All of these trials and so many more, cause us to feel uncertainty in our lives.

Anna has been one of my long standing Lady Warrior clients and is now more of a life long friend.  This is Anna’s mind and body transformation that took her from an unhappy dark place to a strong and physically capable women through commitment, dedication, and consistency.

Meet Anna! Body transformation

Hi, my name is Anna and this is my journey with Shannon (LadyWarrior).  Everything started when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

What does type 2 diabetes mean?

Type 2 diabetes also known as adult onset diabetes has three different characteristics; lack of insulin, high blood sugar, and insulin resistant.  Symptoms can come on gradually and people may not know they have the condition.

What are the 3 most common symptoms of undiagnosed diabetes?

  • frequent urination
  • increased thirst
  • always feeling hungry
I was upset and discourage thinking I was doing everything right to take care of my body through exercise and following a healthy diet.  Diabetes made me feel tired, drained, and caused pain in my joints.
The doctor presented two options:
  1.  I can battle this by pushing myself and workout harder than I originally thought I was doing and get educated on nutrition.
  2. She can prescribe a pill that will help me get better fast.

I picked the first option, exercise and nutrition.

Can diabetes type 2 be cured?

There is no cure for diabetes type 2, but it can be managed through exercise and eating well.

Right away I began taking action.  I went to classes learning how to manage my nutrition, then was on the hunt on how to upgrade my exercising.
I couldn’t afford a personal trainer so I began blindly searching through pinterest looking for what to do.  I came across one of Shannon’s pinned links. Clicking on the link brought up a video with this beautiful lady explaining what to do and how to do the workouts for each day.
In her video Shannon asks to check her website LadyWarrior.com and make the commitment to get fit.
I took that challenge and everything changed from that moment. I was hooked.body transformation women
My first fitness program was “10 Weeks to get Fit “(Lady Warrior Ripped). I have been doing every single program from this amazing lady since then.
Shannon not only gave me the motivation to get fit physically but also to be a better version of myself mentally.
In addition to taking control of my diabetes, I overcame my mental struggles from being in an abusive relationship for years, which left me with a poor self image.

How many cases of domestic violence are reported each year?

It has been reported that more than 10 million people have gone through some sort of domestic abuse in the United States each year.

But, with all that is in the past, I feel strong.  I have a positive image of myself and I feel strong inside and out every time I finish one of her programs.
Easy? Nope. Life is hard juggling a lot of health issues, kids, work, relationships but I never make a single excuse to avoid the gym or to quit.A female posing in a swim suit after her weight loss challenge, by Lady Warrior
I have to wake up at 3 am to hit the gym to get my workout done then get ready for work. This routine is a lot of commitment and discipline in which I learned from Shannon.
I don’t have the right words to say thank you and express, you have been a friend, a psychologist, a trainer, a motivator, and an inspirational role model.
I learned to conquer what seemed impossible…….. the ability to discover my inner warrior.
Anna’s body transformation is truly one of mental and physical.  She took control of her life and began to conquer her unexpected bumps in the road.  She is now an ambassador for Plant Fusion, and has started a meal prep business helping others stay healthy from the inside out.
