Ultimate Sheet Pan Veggie Tray
Bring the Ultimate Sheet Pan Veggie Tray as your appetizer to the next party for a fun and easy way to dip, dunk, and dollop your veggies.
Ultimate Sheet Pan Veggie Tray
I am not going to lie, I love to bring veggie trays to any party, because any get together is never complete without the token veggie tray! One big reason I love to bring the Ultimate Sheet Pan Veggie Tray is because it is so easy to throw together. You don’t have to spend hours in the kitchen and for some reason they always get eaten. This is one appetizer that will be attending our Super Bowl party this year for sure.
I also like to provide two different dips that people can choose from. I love to bring ranch dip and hummus. Both taste so good with vegetables so I figure I can please the masses by giving them options. This Ultimate Sheet Pan Veggie Tray can be loaded up with all the fresh veggies you love. I choose to gravitate toward bigger pieces so people really have something to dip, dunk or dollop. Not too much prep time goes into this veggie tray which is also a huge bonus.
What vegetables are good for a vegetable tray?
- There are so many different kids of vegetables that can make up a vegetable tray, so I like to choose the bigger or chunkier veggies because they hold more dip and look impressive on your tray. Some good examples are:
- Carrots sticks, just peel and slice into chunky pieces.
- Celery, trim off a bit at both ends and then just cut the remaining in half.
- Large white mushrooms, don’t slice
- Chunky pieces of broccoli and cauliflower, stems trimmed
- Cherry tomatoes, left whole
- Different colored peppers, sliced thick
- Whole pieces of asparagus with ends trimmed slightly
- Snap peas
- Cucumbers, peels on, cut in thicker pieces
How long can you keep vegetables in the refrigerator?
- This veggie tray can easily be made the night before and stored a few ways.
- The vegetables can be cut up and placed in individual plastic bags that can be sealed, or in an airtight container.
- You can arrange all your vegetables on your sheet pan and then cover tightly with plastic wrap and store in your refrigerator.
- Most vegetables can be stored in the refrigerator up to 2 days if properly sealed and stored. However not every vegetables has a shelf life as long as the other, so I wouldn’t recommend cutting them all up more than one day in advance.
Another reason I love to cut my vegetables chunky is so your guest can use them like a spoon to put a dollop of the dip on their plate. No one wants “double dippers” at their party. Be creative and have fun with your Sheet Pan Veggie Tray. Every party needs veggies and dip.
