These Garlic Butter Shrimp are a combination of four simple things; shrimp, butter, garlic, and herbs, that’s it! In less than 15 minutes you will be eating your way through all the shrimp you want. Not only are shrimp fast and easy to cook they can be served as a main course, side, or appetizer.
No one will ever be mad if they see Garlic Butter Shrimp show up to your next dinner party. I love to serve them with a little sriracha sauce to add just a teensy weensy bit of heat.
The shrimp will begin to appear white in color, but not too white. They will have more of an opaque exterior and the tails will be red. The tails also begin to curl once they have cooked. Just watch the color and make sure you don’t cook to a bright white color, that is an indication of being overcooked.
A great way to get your butter, herbs, and garlic all together is by making this Herb Butter Compound. It is so simple to make and that way you can just slice it and toss it into your skillet and cook the shrimp with the butter, herbs and garlic all in one.
