Ingredients

  • 1 lb top sirloin thinly sliced
  • ½ lb snow peas
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • ½ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil divided

Instructions

  • In a small bowl whisk together stir fry seasoning: soy sauce, sugar, water, and cornstarch.
  • Remove 1/2 cup and pour into a larger bowl along with sesame oil, ground ginger, and garlic. Add beef to sauce and mix to coat. (allow to marinate for 15 minutes-optional)
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat add beef and stir-fry for 5-6 minutes, until no longer pink. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  •  In the same skillet add oil, mushrooms and onions. Sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add in snow peas and remaining sauce mixture bring to a boil to thicken, then reduce heat.
  • Add beef back to skillet, mix and cook until heated through. Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and red pepper flakes.
