Slow Cooker Shepherd’s Pie
Savory and sensational, this easy Slow Cooker Shepherd's Pie is made with ground beef, peas, and carrots and is topped with creamy mashed potatoes and warm beef gravy. Serve with a side of cornbread and your meal is magical.
Servings 6 people
- 2 pounds ground beef or lamb
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 14 ounce can diced tomatoes drained
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 12 ounces frozen peas and carrots
- 1 24 oz container prepared mashed potatoes or homemade
- 1 12 oz jar beef gravy
Spray the inside of 6qt slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
In a large skillet brown ground beef over medium high heat, drain any fat.
Add in diced onions, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, diced tomatoes, garlic salt, black pepper and frozen peas and carrots. Mix until combined.
Pour meat mixture into slow cooker. Top with prepared mashed potatoes, cover and cook on high for 3 hours. 20 minutes before done cooking remove lid and top with beef gravy, cover and finish cooking.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
